Allison attended the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University in Boston, MA from 2014-2015, and is currently studying Jazz Vocals at the University of Northern Colorado. She spends most of her time trying to balance a love for both art and music. Her work explores a variety of different mediums, including watercolor, oils, graphite, charcoal, acrylic, ink, and colored pencil.

She is captivated by the rawness and variety of life and consequently features people very often in her work.  She is also inspired by books, sound, and light and is also drawn to things of whimsy, character, and great detail. Her work often incorporates a level of nostalgia and sometimes serves as a symbol for what goes on inside her own mind. However, she also enjoys straight-forward studies of life around her. She carries a sketchbook with her at almost all times and feels that journalistic sketches like those help her to fully appreciate and absorb a particular moment or setting and freeze it in time. She cannot decide between her desire for the objective and the scientific or the imaginative and the sympathetic, and she instead attempts to explore it all.
